The White Lace Inn March 2005 Newsletter
March, the month to say, good-bye to winter and look to
a new season of re-birth. A new beginning for the birds and as they
return to spring nest, we watch the V shape strings of geese and ducks fly
through the sun warmed sky, while snow and ice still provide skiing and
ice fishing. When we see the big white birds with their long necks fly over the tree tops we know the ice and snow on the creeks, ponds and fields is melting making shallow ponds in the low corner of fields where the swans stop to rest and feed as they journey to their nesting grounds in Canada. The red winged black bird sits among the pussy willows and sings its happy springtime song as fish swim upstream to find their spawning beds. When robins by the dozens hop through the winter brown grass looking for worms, we know spring is here and we look to see if the peonies and rhubarb have pushed curled up leaves through the winter mulch. March, the month to shed the winter dole drums with a trip
to Door County and a relaxing stay at the White Lace Inn to clear your brain
of cluttered winter thoughts and let fresh creative ideas emerge. Then as
spring arrives return to your life refreshed and ready to begin new
projects and solve old problems. Spend a night or two or more relaxing in

Beth and Sun Cha are sprucing up the rooms, Mary and Marcia are making yummy things for breakfast and keeping the cookie jar full. Cherie and Marcia take turns checking you in, help you get settled and decided on which of our many fine restaurants will serve your needs for dinner. Dennis and Bonnie continue to give the White Lace Inn that personal touch which keeps the Inn among the Top Ten Romantic Inns in the country. The White Lace Inn is proud to have been a Select Registry member since 1988.

beautiful in your Easter display however.
