2007 is milestone for the White Lace Inn as
we celebrate our 25th year anniversary!
It's hard to believe that we have
welcomed guests to our Inn for all those years and that friends and
relatives of our first guests are still visiting us today. Thank you all
for the many memories and breakfasts that we have shared with you. It has
been a great run and we look forward to many more visits from new and
repeat guests. Watch our website for celebration specials as we start this
momentous New Year! We begin the year with unseasonably warm weather here in Door County. The temperature as we write this is expected to be over 40 degrees. January in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin? We know we are destined for a falling thermostat any day now. Why not make your reservation for a stay with us in your favorite room with fireplace and whirlpool? We are ready with your hot chocolate or coffee; an after-holiday break might be just what you need. WHAT'S GOING ON? January is a time to visit the art museums or catch a live performance at the Door County Auditorium or Third Avenue Playhouse. Cooking classes, watercolor workshops, winter wonderland tour on the trolley, progressive dinners and candlelight skiing are available to you. Our museums and art galleries are open year round; tour them at your leisure. Take a hike through one of our state parks and just enjoy the peacefulness. Return from the activities to your room at the White Lace Inn and enjoy your fireplace and whirlpool. Grab a mug of hot chocolate and a cookie and relax before you head out to dinner at one of our many great restaurants. Ask the innkeeper to make a recommendation and a reservation for you. "Concierge-R-Us" Ask us a question - We will come up with an answer. Then in the morning enjoy one of the terrific breakfasts created in our kitchen. Start with a fresh brewed cup of Door County Coffee or tea and then get ready for a Cheesy egg bake, Stuffed French Toast or one of another of our delicious breakfast entrees. Homemade muffins or bread and a side dish complete this perfect start to your day. Try the recipe of the month, Mary's Cherry Granola. Make a batch and enjoy it this winter. Live Music, Popcorn and Beverages, compliments of Dennis and Bonnie, every Thursday evening from 7:30 to 9:30pm! Well traveled contemporary acoustic folk music group, Random Orbit, continues hanging around our parlour picking tunes for guests and friends on Thursday evenings. Although they have been "off the road" for some years now, their music style remains relaxed yet somehow "painfully" intricate. Guests are always welcome to join in. Just one more reason to take a Friday off, book a room and have that long weekend you deserve!
