Welcome 2008! Good-bye 2007! It is hard to believe another year has gone by. The White Lace Inn family wish all of our guests and friends good health and happiness throughout the new year. Our county is snow-covered for those who are thinking of a little cross-country skiing or snow shoeing. In fact, join Snowshoe Friday with the Ridges Sanctuary Naturalist starting January 4th. Come on up and stay at your favorite White Lace Inn room or suite and enjoy the peninsula. Winter wonderland tours and progressive dinners are also on the calendar in January. Or maybe it is time to start in on that book you have been putting off. Can you picture a crisp January day in front of a fire with a cup of hot chocolate, a Chocolate Heath Bar Cookie, snuggled under a quilt and getting lost in a book? Join the Big Read Kickoff on January 7 as Door County participates in the National Endowment for the Arts nationwide initiative. If shopping is your thing, the sales are going on in the stores along Third Avenue, Jefferson Street and Madison Avenue with great discounts being offered this year. Don't forget about the Pirates! Your last chance to see the only exhibit of its kind in the Midwest offered by the Door County Maritime Museum through January 15th. Call us and reserve your room for a 2-night stay and take in the activities. You will be glad you did! January is a great time of the year to take advantage of the wonderful museums and galleries that Sturgeon Bay and the county have to offer. Door County's signature ambience of "culture in the country" results from its mix of beautiful scenery and a lively arts scene. Painters, potters, sculptors, craftsmen, weavers, and performers reflect and enhance the natural wonders of the Door County peninsula. From your room at the White Lace Inn you can walk to the Miller Art Museum, the Fairfield Center for Contemporary Art and Popelka Trenchard Art Gallery and Glass Studio. A short drive across the bridge, (or stroll if you are up to it) and you will be at the Door County Maritime Museum. All of these facilities are open year 'round. |

The cookie jar in the parlor is bottomless! well ... almost ...
We have vacancies in January - February and we
are offering great rates! Are you looking for a place to gather as a 'small group' ? We're seeing an ever increasing number of friends traveling together, family reunions, small weddings, elopements, small business meetings, church groups, etc . . If you have anything in mind along these lines - please give us a call, 877-948-5223, or e-mail Romance@WhiteLaceInn.com with your questions or thoughts. Thank you, Dennis Live Music, Popcorn and Beverages, compliments of Dennis and Bonnie, every Thursday evening from 7:00 to 10:00pm! The well traveled contemporary acoustic folk music group, Random Orbit, continues hanging around our parlor picking tunes for guests and friends on Thursday evenings, year 'round. Although they have been "off the road" for some years now, their music style remains relaxed yet somehow "painfully" intricate. Guests are always welcome to join in. Just one more reason to take a Friday off, book a room and have that long relaxing weekend you deserve!
