April is usually a sign of the end of winter, the beginning of warmer weather, blue skies and sunshine. So today we woke up to a dusting of snow and 30 degree temperatures. What is wrong, you might ask? Well, we are keeping the faith that our spring expectations are right around the corner. Some perennials are trying to break through the ground but they just need a little help in the form of 50+ degrees. As we have seen throughout the country, no one has escaped unusual weather this year. This is a good time to spend a night or 2 or more with us, enjoy the great rates and quiet days . There is plenty to do in April for everyone. Performances at Third Avenue Playhouse, visiting our five wineries, museum exhibits, progressive dinners and trolley rides and horse and carriage trips are just a few of the offerings. Your room at the White Lace Inn is just a phone call away! Enjoy the warmth of a fireplace and relax in a whirlpool after your day of activities. We have so many rooms and suites to choose from. Wood burning or gas fireplace, we have your preference. Quaint room or large king suite, we have them both. April in Door County is a favorite month for most of us who live here full time. Watching the snow recede and knowing that the blossoms will soon be showing their colors gives us that little boost of energy. Although they have been "off the road" for some years now, their music style remains relaxed yet somehow "painfully" intricate. Guests are always welcome to join in.
