May is starting out with great sunny skies
and the beginning of the Festival of Blossoms, Door County's month
long celebration of Spring. Come see the cherry and apple trees blooming
and the thousands of daffodils and tulips splashing color along the
landscape. Catch one of our many special events that we look forward to
all year as we welcome visitors from around the nation to our wonderful
community. Shipyard tours, lighthouse walks and arts and crafts festivals
are just a few of the annual events that help to make May so much fun for
all. While you are here, book a night or 2 at the White Lace Inn and we
will make your visit a memorable one. Room rates are reduced most nights
so you can pass that savings along and enjoy shopping in one of the many
unique stores that Sturgeon Bay and the County have to offer.

Operating daily to and from Menominee, MI and Sturgeon Bay, The Spirit of LaSalle promises to be a welcome addition to the many services we have to offer our visitors. Check it out. Watch out for the Pirates.....they are invading the Door County Maritime Museum beginning May 12th and it looks like they will be sticking around for quite a while so plan to see this one of a kind exhibit that will include objects never before seen in the state of Wisconsin. Exhibit runs through January 15th. |

As we mentioned in previous newsletters, the White Lace Inn celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and many of our guests have sent us a line or two about a special time they had with the White Lace Inn family over the years. We would love to hear from you, too. We'll compile all the comments and create a Memories scrapbook and post it on our website. Thank you for being a part of our history. More anniversary news will follow in future newsletters. There is a lot happening up here in Door County during May. From county league baseball to bass tournaments to festivals and museum exhibits, we offer something for everyone. Sturgeon Bay's annual Fine Art Fair takes place May 26 and 27 at Sunset Park, just a short drive from the Inn. Take a break from your schedule and stay with us while you experience the county. Request the recipe of the month Strawberry Rhubarb Muffins and our Innkeeper will make it for you during your stay. Add a mouth-watering eggbake and a cup of coffee or hot chocolate and what a better way to start your day. You'll be back for more! Live Music, Popcorn and Beverages, compliments of Dennis and Bonnie, every Thursday evening from 7:30 to 9:30pm! The well traveled contemporary acoustic folk music group, Random Orbit, continues hanging around our parlor picking tunes for guests and friends on Thursday evenings. Although they have been "off the road" for some years now, their music style remains relaxed yet somehow "painfully" intricate. Guests are always welcome to join in. Just one more reason to take a Friday off, book a room and have that long relaxing weekend you deserve!
