June in Door County is a journey of cuisine and culture
throughout the Peninsula as each community participates in the annual
Kingdom So Delicious event. Celebrate the unique experiences Door County
has to offer: fiery fish boils, cooking classes and demonstrations, palate
pleasing samples from local orchards, vineyards and farms, and artistic
offerings from plays to paintings to pottery.
Before you get here, book a night or 2 or 4 at the White Lace Inn and we will make your visit a memorable one. Selected room rates are reduced most nights so you can pass that savings along and enjoy shopping in one of the many unique stores that Sturgeon Bay and the rest of Door County have to offer. Check availability and let us be a part of your visit. The perfect place to end your day. Questions about rates and availability? Please call 877-948-5223. When would you like to visit Door County? Let's talk...
Have you heard about the new ferry service operating daily to and from Menominee, MI and Sturgeon Bay? The Spirit of LaSalle promises to be a welcome addition to the many services we have to offer our visitors. Check it out.
Like to cruise? How about some music while you sail along? Book a dinner cruise with Sunset Concert Cruises and enjoy Jazz, Dixieland, Classical and Folk concerts aboard the Island Clipper while touring the waters of Green Bay and Lake Michigan. Enjoy a buffet dinner during your 3 hour narrated tour. Come back to your room or suite at the White Lace Inn at the end of your day and relax as you plan tomorrow's activities.
WHITE LACE INN
As we mentioned in previous newsletters, the White Lace Inn celebrates its 25th anniversary this year and many of our guests have sent us a line or two about a special time they had with the White Lace Inn family over the years. We would love to hear from you, too. We'll compile all the comments and create a Memories scrapbook and post it on our website. Thank you for being a part of our history. More anniversary news will follow in future newsletters.
There are events galore up here in Door County during June. From farmers markets to outdoor theaters to concerts in the park to winery tours and tastings we have so much going on that you will have to make a couple of trips if you want to take it all in. Museums, galleries, trolley rides, carriage rides, golfing, hiking and boating are also waiting for you. When you stay with us we will make your favorite White Lace Inn breakfast; just let us know and we'll put it on the menu. Speaking of menus, try the recipe of the month White Lace Inn Stuffed Croissants at home. Your family will love you for it. Don't forget that our homemade White Lace Inn Chocolate Heath Bar Cookies are available 24/7 in our parlor. They have become a favorite with our guests.
We have vacancies in June and we are offering
great rates this season!
Live Music, Popcorn and Beverages, compliments of Dennis and Bonnie, every Thursday evening from 7:30 to 9:30pm! The well traveled contemporary acoustic folk music group, Random Orbit, continues hanging around our parlor picking tunes for guests and friends on Thursday evenings. Although they have been "off the road" for some years now, their music style remains relaxed yet somehow "painfully" intricate. Guests are always welcome to join in. Just one more reason to take a Friday off, book a room and have that long relaxing weekend you deserve!
Visit the Dancing Bear Gift Shop and have Michele, Mikki or Marty show you the latest new products that are arriving daily. You will find beautiful items here that you will not see at other shops. This specialty shop offers soaps, lotions, kids toys and games, a large collection of Hadley Pottery plus so much more.
