It is hard to believe that 25 years ago this month,
Bonnie and Dennis opened the doors to their first guests. Starting
with the Main House, which was also their living quarters, they began a
journey that eventually led to where they are today with 3 additional
houses and 18 rooms and suites. It has often been said that they
were the true pioneers of the bed and breakfast industry in Door County
and many have followed in their footsteps. They invite you to celebrate
this milestone with them and book a night or 2 or more at
reduced rates. Those of you who have not visited
in a while will be happy to see that the same wonderful rooms, service and
breakfasts are still being served by staff that you will recognize from
years ago. To those who have never visited us, we encourage you to
experience the White Lace Inn hospitality
during our anniversary year. Come once and you will book your return visit
before you leave. Welcome! Many of our guests have sent us a line or two about a special time they had with the White Lace Inn family over the years. We would love to hear from you, too. We'll compile all the comments and create a Memories scrapbook and post it on our website. Thank you for being a part of our history. Like to cruise? How about some music while you sail along? Book a dinner cruise with Sunset Concert Cruises and enjoy Jazz, Dixieland, Classical and Folk concerts aboard the Island Clipper while touring the waters of Green Bay and Lake Michigan. Enjoy a buffet dinner during your 3 hour narrated tour. Come back to your room or suite at the White Lace Inn at the end of your day and relax as you plan tomorrow's activities. |

July in Door County offers so many fun, family activities. Live performances at the outdoor theatres, weekly concerts, farmers markets, vineyards, county baseball, pancake breakfast and festivals are on the calendar, just to name a few. Museums, galleries, trolley rides, carriage rides, golfing, hiking and boating are also waiting for you. Try one of the many pubs and restaurants in Sturgeon Bay for lunch or dinner. Enjoy the fireworks as we celebrate the 4th of July holiday. When you stay with us we will make your favorite White Lace Inn breakfast; just let us know and we'll put it on the menu. Try the recipe of the month Summer Berry Soup with your favorite seasonal fruit. It makes a great side dish with a slice of egg bake and a homemade muffin. Stay with us and you can indulge in our homemade White Lace Inn Chocolate Heath Bar Cookies. Leave the diet at home just for a day or 2.
We have vacancies in July and we are offering
great rates this season! Live Music, Popcorn and Beverages, compliments of Dennis and Bonnie, every Thursday evening from 7:30 to 9:30pm! The well traveled contemporary acoustic folk music group, Random Orbit, continues hanging around our parlor picking tunes for guests and friends on Thursday evenings. Although they have been "off the road" for some years now, their music style remains relaxed yet somehow "painfully" intricate. Guests are always welcome to join in. Just one more reason to take a Friday off, book a room and have that long relaxing weekend you deserve!
Visit the Dancing Bear Gift Shop and have Michele or Marty show you the latest new products. Known for their unique items, this one-of-a-kind gift store has kids' toys, games and books as well as specialty soaps, lotions, Hadley Pottery, greeting cards and so much more. The Dancing Bear Shop has become one of the places to visit on 3rd Avenue, Sturgeon Bay.
