We are starting Fall with 80 degree temperatures and the colors just beginning to turn. Speaking of beginnings, our White Lace Inn monthly newsletter will be transitioning to a quarterly publication effective with this issue. We will be including as much news-worthy information as before with links to details about the events and happenings. Right now the farmers markets are boasting the fall harvest of beets, squashes, late tomatoes, corn, apples, pumpkins and more. The craft vendors have all their holiday decorations ready to sell you, including yard art and fall plantings. Returning visitors will be greeted as they enter Sturgeon Bay with the new bridge that opened in September. The Michigan Street bridge that so many have come to love is closed indefinitely and the newly built "Companion Bridge" is a refreshing change. You will find it just 2 blocks south of the Michigan Street Bridge along the Oregon/Maple corridor. Before you cross over, you have to check out the shops along Madison Avenue. Then after you check-in, walk down from the White Lace Inn and stroll our other shopping districts, 3rd Avenue and Jefferson Street. Fall is a favorite season for visitors and locals alike. The fall festivals in Door County are packed with activities from arts and crafts to music and eats. Then towards the end of fall we have our Holiday Home Tour and the B&B walk. So much to do and such a beautiful community to be in. Come and stay at the White Lace Inn for a few days or more and experience the entire Door County and all there is to offer. There is so much to see and do . . or just relax . . The choice is yours. Reserve a room or suite with fireplace, whirlpool or both. Book now and experience the warm hospitality throughout Door County. After you've stayed, submit a review of the White Lace Inn on BedAndBreakfast.com and you become eligible to win a $250.00 gift certificate! Most of the season's main events are listed for you towards the end of this newsletter. We invite you to spend some time with us at the White Lace Inn and let us have fun sharing our lives with you. Come once and you will know why we have so many repeat guests. Why not become part of our family and start a tradition of your own? We encourage you to come up and enjoy beautiful Sturgeon Bay. Have breakfast with us in the morning and then explore the shops, galleries and museums that are only a couple of blocks away. Come back to your room and relax with a lemonade or iced tea before dining in one of the many restaurants we have to offer. Let our Innkeeper recommend a place to eat and also make your reservation for you. Call us and reserve your room. You will be glad you did! Come and experience why Money Magazine voted Door County as one of the top 10 vacation destinations in North America. Reservations 1-877-948-5223. |

There is plenty to do in Fall for everyone. Performances at Third Avenue Playhouse, visiting our five wineries, museum exhibits, progressive dinners and trolley rides and horse and carriage trips are just a few of the offerings. Your room at the White Lace Inn is just a phone call away! Enjoy the warmth of a fireplace and relax in a whirlpool after your day of activities. We have so many rooms and suites to choose from. Wood burning or gas fireplace, we have your preference. Quaint room or large king suite, we have them both. Stay at the Main House where your breakfast is served every morning or try one of the three other houses that are located a short walk through the garden. Each house is special in itself. Fall in Door County reminds us that winter is just a few weeks away and we better take advantage of the outdoor activities while we can. Farmers markets, the concerts, American Folklore Theatre's outdoor performances, Peninsula Players, the list goes on. Come stay with us this month and we will make your favorite White Lace Inn breakfast; just call in advance and we'll put it on the menu. Try the recipe of the month, Pumpkin Apple Streusel Muffins and enjoy them warm with a cup of hot cocoa to take the chill off those frosty mornings. For your convenience, all of our recipes are shared with you online. While you are here, indulge in our world-renowned homemade White Lace Inn cookies . The cookie jar in the parlor is bottomless! Well ... almost ...
We have vacancies in
FALL and we are
offering great rates! Are you looking for a place to gather as a 'small group' ? We're seeing an ever increasing number of friends traveling together, family reunions, small weddings, elopements, small business meetings, church groups, etc . . If you have anything in mind along these lines - please give us a call, 877-948-5223, or e-mail Romance@WhiteLaceInn.com with your questions or thoughts. Who do you know that would love to stay at White Lace Inn? Thank you, Dennis Live Music, Popcorn and Beverages, compliments of Dennis and Bonnie, every Thursday evening from 7:00 to 10:00pm! The well traveled contemporary acoustic folk music group, Random Orbit, continues hanging around our parlor picking tunes for guests and friends on Thursday evenings, year 'round. Although they have been "off the road" for some years now, their music style remains relaxed yet somehow "painfully" intricate. Guests are always welcome to join in. Just one more reason to take a Friday off, book a room and have that long relaxing weekend you deserve!
