We've had a couple of very nice snowfalls recently - we know it is just the start of our wonderful winter season. The calendar is packed with activities the end of this year and the beginning of next. Sturgeon Bay is excited to host for the first time the University of Wisconsin Marching Band on December 6, the same day as the Holiday Home Tour. There is plenty to do in WINTER for everyone. Performances at Third Avenue Playhouse, visiting our five wineries, museum exhibits, progressive dinners and trolley rides and horse and carriage trips are just a few of the offerings. Your room at the White Lace Inn is just a phone call away! Enjoy the warmth of a fireplace and relax in a whirlpool after your day of activities. We have so many rooms and suites to choose from. Wood burning or gas fireplace, we have your preference. Quaint room or large king suite, we have them both. WINTER in Door County reminds us that we can still take advantage of the outdoor activities as we host candlelight horseback rides, cross country skiing along the dunes, winter festivals, ice sculptures and don't forget to watch for the ice shanties on the bay! Fishing is never over here in Door County. Potawatomi Park in Sturgeon Bay includes 1,225 acres and offers trails for hiking (9 miles), skiing (8.5 miles, groomed and tracked, some for skate skiing) and snowmobiling (8.3 miles). A small sledding hill is available near the campground shelter. Although they have been "off the road" for some years now, their music style remains relaxed yet somehow "painfully" intricate. Guests are always welcome to join in.
