Top 10 Most Romantic Inns of 2004 Announced

Inns featured in American Historic Inns guidebooks and iLoveInns.com American Historic Inns, Inc., publisher of more than 2.5 million bed & breakfast guidebooks is in the eleventh year of announcing its annual list of the Top Ten Romantic Inns. This year's top ten have been selected from the 100 romantic inns awarded this distinction over the past ten years.

These inns have been chosen for a variety of attributes, including romantic setting, luxurious decor, hospitality and overall romantic mystique. They have survived the heated debates and painstaking selection process that precede the announcement of the final list.

"This year was more difficult than usual," said author and publisher Deborah Sakach. "As our staff revisited the list of 100 inns chosen over the past ten years we recalled how incredibly romantic and special each one is. Our final list includes romantic historic inns from different areas of the United States."

The specially chosen inns are below. The year next to each inn represents their original appearance on the Top 10 Most Romantic Inns list.

All 10 inns are included with full descriptions, photos and links to additional information at iLoveInns.com. In addition to the Most Romantic Inns, more than 3,000 other quality bed & breakfasts are featured at iLoveInns.com. These detailed listings include full text descriptions written by our staff writers, rates, guest room details, historic interest, types of meals, amenities, nearby activities, publicity the inn has received and many other items of interest. Listings to an additional 14,000 inns can also be found on the site.

"We want to inspire couples to find truly romantic hideaways so that throughout their relationship they can look back on some very special memories," said author and publisher Deborah Sakach. "I've always found the more soul- stirring the inn, the longer the feeling of being there stays with me. That's why we spend countless hours on the road, on the phone, on the web, pouring through thousands of our files, and in debate among our staff and travel writers during the arduous selection process."

Features found on the iLoveInns site include "Inn of the Week," last year's "Most Romantic" list, "Hot Spots for Inns", many other bed & breakfast-related articles, a reservation service and the largest collection of inn travel discounts, including the original Buy-One-Night-Get-One-Night-Free program.

Site visitors are able to see photos of magnificent Victorian mansions, elegant plantation homes, romantic lighthouses and several other unique inns. It's possible to "tour" many of the inns with views of their various rooms. Besides being listed at iLoveInns.com, most of this year's "Top 10 Most Romantic Inns" are included in American Historic Inns' three publications: Bed & Breakfasts and Country Inns, 15th edition; The Official Guide to American Historic Inns, 9th edition; and the Bed & Breakfast Encyclopedia, 3rd edition.

Details about each of these award-winning publications can be found at iLoveInns.com.

All three books can be purchased at most bookstores or directly from American Historic Inns, Inc. The prices of the guides are: Bed & Breakfasts and Country Inns ($21.95), The Official Guide to American Historic Inns ($16.95) and the Bed & Breakfast Encyclopedia ($18.95).
